PROPOSAL

  • Our experiments were conducted in a 2-dimensional model. If these could be developed in a 3-dimensional model, we thought the numerical simulation will be more similar to the actual observation.

  • Compared between [Case-1] and [Case-3], numerical simulation will be more accurate when the actual LANDUSE types are reflected. If we use the LANDUSE type classification optimized for Korean, instead of just using the USGS LANDUSE type classification conventionally, the numerical simulation results will be more accurate.

  • Errors, occurred in the Ideal case due to modeling without considering the terrain height, will be able to reduce by increasing the accuracy of terrain height with high resolution.

  • Also by matching LANDUSE types one-to-one for each grid, and increasing the resolution of the grid would result in a numerical simulation closer to the actual observed value.  This can improve local weather forecasts for coastal areas.

  • The Sea Breeze is closely related to the air quality and local weather in coastal areas. Through this, one can expect to improve air quality in coastal areas.
